Not a conference, but a table: a set of conversations that stir.
Conversations at Drift is a private gathering built on narrative. Ten people gather around one table, where three engaging speakers share first-hand stories of resilience, courage and leadership, drawn out in conversation rather than slides. Beneath the ease of it is a deliberate curriculum: you arrive having read a briefing curated for your group, keep a journal as the days unfold, and leave with a folio of the tools and frameworks the weekend surfaces. Insight, learned the way it is actually lived.
- Preparatory reading
- Expert-led sessions
- Guided discussion
- A journal and folio
What every table holds.
Whatever the theme, the method is the same: a way of learning we call the Narrative Method. Stories worth carrying, and the tools to use them.
The briefing.
A curated briefing, prepared for your group and read before you arrive.
Fireside chats.
Inspirational speakers share their stories of resilience, courage and leadership, first-hand by the fire.
The table.
The whole table takes the stories up and turns them into something to use, noted in your own hand as you go.
The journal & folio.
The journal you have kept, with a bound folio of the tools and frameworks the weekend surfaces, to take home.
One table, two ways in.
Both run on the same method, the Narrative Method. Ireland: From the Inside is curated and ready to join. Host a Table is the same gathering, built to order around your own theme.
Ireland: From the Inside.
For founders, investors, family offices, senior executives and the internationally curious.
Our signature gathering, for those looking at Ireland from the outside. A private immersion in the country’s economy, politics, culture and character, told through conversation rather than presentation, across three candid sessions: Business and the Economy, Politics and the Border, and Culture and Identity.

For friends, colleagues, clients, family, collaborators or a private network, around a subject you care about.
A table of your own, built to order. The whole house is yours, with no other guests. You bring the people and the question; we shape the theme, curate the voices, prepare the reading and produce the folio that follows, all on the same method.

The weekends are held at Drift, a private farmhouse in the drumlins of Monaghan, seventy-five minutes from Dublin and ninety from Belfast. Between the conversations the house is yours: an endless pool and sauna, a hot tub set in the old cottage ruins, a gym and a yoga studio, open fires and long lunches in the open air. Arrive on Friday, home on Monday, with private transfers from either airport and every arrangement handled.
Private transfers, settling in, and the first dinner together.
The first fireside story and the conversation it opens, then the pool, the sauna and the drumlins.
The second and third stories, a long lunch in the open air, and time that is your own.
A last breakfast together, then private transfers to either airport.
A house people don’t forget.
Genuinely the best property we have stayed in. Everything about the house is outstanding.
It felt like our own private retreat. A five-star stay we will always remember.
Beautifully designed, modern yet warm. The wellness facilities truly made the stay special.
Recognised by GQ as one of the best spa hotels in Ireland and the UK, and by the Irish Independent as one of Ireland’s great gathering houses.
A house with room to breathe.
Bedrooms that look onto the fields, a kitchen built for long lunches, a library for the slower hours, all in stone and lime among the Monaghan drumlins.
Where the days unwind.
An indoor endless pool and sauna, a hot tub set in the old ruins, a treatment room, a gym, a yoga studio and table tennis for the evenings.
